Valentine’s Day For Single Ladies

As you all know I’m a single mom.  I love holidays so even though I am single you won’t hear me saying how I hate Valentine’s Day.  I know the day is supposed to be for lovers but my outlook is it’s a holiday about love.  I wrote a couple of posts on crafts to do with your kids but this post is about what to do for yourself.

  • Get a facial
  • Get a massage {take the money you would spend buying your man a gift and spend it on yourself}
  • Open your heart and donate to a charity of your choice {some of my favorites are: Make-a-Wish Foundation, Hemispherectomy Foundation, Hemi-Kids, Pediatric Stroke Foundation} What better way to show love on Valentine’s Day?
  • Rent a romance movie / total chick flick and eat some delicious chocolate {who needs a man to buy them candy?}
  • Schedule a girls night out with your other single lady friends {don’t forget to invite those women whom are married yet their men are working out of town or away in the military}

The important thing about Valentine’s Day is to feel loved and show love.  You do not have to be married to celebrate that!

Dwan, you always know how to find the bright side of a situation and totally rock it!

I love your ideas of giving to charity to spread the love on Valentine’s Day!! Girl’s night out sounds fabulous too!
