Spring Cleaning in Fall

A couple of weeks ago I took some photos of my closet and desk.  I wanted to have before and after photos for my organization and cleaning task I was going to tackle.  Well I got the before photos… just not the after. The project is still in the works I must say.  However I DID work on it tonight for quite a while, I might add.  I am not going to post the before photos because until it is complete and I have the after photos I’ll wait to share the comparison.  I do plan to have it finished along with some other tasks by this coming Tuesday.  I can’t believe I just admitted that on my blog, for all to read. I will post here next Tuesday with before and after photos and link it up as part of the Tackle it Tuesday posts I read about over at 5 Minutes for Mom.

Since I’m sharing with you all about how I am working on a total Spring Cleaning during the Fall in my home right now along with some organization and filing, I thought I’d share an article I read today.  Something I might try out during this home makeover I’m trying to conduct.  I read about having a command center that is clean and organized in your home.  The article spiked my interested because to be honest I had no idea what a command center was.  Within the first few paragraphs the author described my kitchen counter to a T.  It is such a mess with all my important papers being dumped there, whether it’s mail or school forms that half the time they get over looked.  I know they are important and need to be tended too yet they get lost in the shuffle.  I think this article is a great idea and I am going to see what I can come up with for my own organized area to save my counter space.
