IzeaFest ’09 – Here I Come!

The kids and I went for a short family trip this past weekend.  Actually we just got home at 3:30 AM this morning.  Drove all night from San Antonio after a long day at Fiesta Texas Six Flags.  The trip was great and I plan to blog more about it soon, including photos of course!

However, one of the best parts for me was the wonderful news I received yesterday afternoon.  Of course you all know I recently entered BenSpark.com’s Ultimate IzeaFest Prize Pack contest by creating a video of answering questions and blogging about it here.  Well I spent the last week convincing myself I wasn’t going to win.  There were three other contestants that entered and I just didn’t feel lucky enough.  I have lost much sleep waiting to hear who the judges decided on.  Sunday night, I pretty much didn’t sleep at all, tossing and turning and watching the clock.  The wait and anticipation was brutal!  Although, even the all nighter I pulled to make sure the video and blog post was done correctly, was well worth it.  I WON! I couldn’t believe it.  Instant happy tears came flowing and my daughter just hugged me tight and said “told ya mom.”  Funny how the 12 year old had no doubt, yet I had little faith.

I am so excited to attend IzeaFest, I literally can’t wait.  I’m going to count down the days, starting now 43 days until Orlando bound.
