I’ve been on a plane now for a little over five hours. Only slightly more than three hours left before landing in Amsterdam to board our connection flight to Venice.
I am so excited to be taking this two week trip with my teen daughter and mother. Three generations embarking on a journey to Europe. The first leg of our trip is on a Mediterranean cruise with stops in Italy, Greece and Croatia. We then extended our stay to include Venice, Florence and Rome.
It’s not easy for me to sleep on the plane so I’ve been reading, watching TV and listening to music. T has been doing school work and listening to her iPod. Then of course we have been playing with the camera feature on the iPad while all the lights are out on the plane.
I must say I’m loving this flight on KLM through Delta. The service is amazing. Our dinner was actually pretty good and the entertainment provided at no additional cost is a nice touch. I’m listening to classic rock now, which I love. T and my mom both watched newly released movies of their choice and I watched a few episodes of comedies currently on prime time television.
We upgraded to their Economy Comfort seats which are descent size for us and they recline back a little further with more leg room. I’d say I would fly Delta long distance again for sure.
While I was bored I browsed through old photos on my iPad and thought I’d share a few fond memories I stumbled upon.
On my trip to Michigan, Heidi and I went with her sister to Chicago (one of my favorite cities) and road the ferris wheel at the Navy Pier. It was a lot of fun.
I love this photo of my Boxer, Nicolette – aka Nicki. She is really such a great dog. So sweet.
My mom took this photo of Noah wrestling with my dad. He loves his papaw. This is the kind of memory he’ll cherish for a lifetime. I absolutely love the big smile of laughter on his face.
The next post will hopefully be an update from Italy filled with photos!
