Early Christmas Cards Needed for Little Boy

This post is a call to action for all my readers.  I am asking each and every one of you to please take a few minutes out of your day to sign a Christmas card, let your children color a picture or even write a sweet letter for a very ill little boy.

I do not know this little boy personally but over a year ago I wrote about my friend Teri and her son, Johnathon, who was diagnosed with a brain tumor.  Teri started a CarePage for Johnathon to share his story and updates with friends and family.  On the CarePages website you can read other little ones’ stories and connect to share.  Although I never blogged an update about Johnathon I think this post is going to help give me the courage to finally tell the rest of his story.  I’ve been too much of a coward to write about it because it caused me pain to even think about it or discuss it out loud.  After Johnathon passed away Teri continued to post on his CarePage for all his followers to be able to take part in a prayer chain for the other children Teri had grown close to.  Even if they were miles apart, sharing their story is something close to Teri’s heart and she is very passionate about passing along to make awareness of childhood cancer.

Yesterday Teri posted about this little boy named Noah.  He is battling neuroblastoma and unfortunately his parents do not know if he will make it until Christmas.  They have decided to celebrate next week and all he wants is mail.  All children love receiving mail and I know that was even Gabby’s highlight while in the hospital.  Something about reading cards and seeing pictures sent from people who care.  So I am asking each of you to take some time and send him a card.  These are his last wishes and something so simple to ask can put the last smiles on his face.  These cards, letters and coloring pictures are also something his parents can keep forever and tokens to show them there is support out there, people praying and awareness being built around childhood cancer.  They will also remind his parents of the happiness he experienced when receiving the cards.

Noah loves Transformers from what I’ve been told.  Gab has already colored a picture I’m planning to send and I am sending a card once a day for the rest of this week.  Will you please send one too?
