With graduation right around the corner I was looking for some unique gifts to celebrate the moment. I put together this DIY Photo Frame Graduation Gift for my daughter to bring old memories into spotlight during this important moment in her life.
I was inspired to create this graduation DIY by adding her school colors, red and black, with the Coca-Cola™ Share a Song lyric bottles to craft a memory.
- Flat Sided Photo Frame
- Scrapbook Paper
- Mod Podge or Glue
- Sponge Brush
Since our DIY Photo Frame was for a graduation gift, I used graduate patterned scrapbook paper. You can select a different pattern if you want.
DIY Photo Frame Graduation Gift
First start by flipping your scrapbook paper over so draw on the backside. You can use a pencil to trace around the inside of your frame so you know where to cut the photo opening.
Make sure you leave enough scrapbook paper on the outside of the frame to wrap.
You can poke a hole in the center of the paper to make it easier to fit your scissor in and cut the square out. Once you finish cutting out the inside photo hole, it’s time to wrap your frame like a present.
Before gluing the sides of the paper down, make the creases all the way around the frame first. This way you can make sure you fit the scrapbook paper on the frame perfectly. Wrap it around smoothly and glue on the back side of the frame.
While shopping at Brookshire’s I found these new Coca-Cola™ Share a Song bottles. The song lyrics are printed right on the bottle which is pretty cool. I dug through the entire mini refrigerator to find the lyrics that fit my project perfectly.
The great thing about shopping at Brookshire’s is their reward system. When using your Thank You Card that you can register and receive free, you can earn one point for each dollar spent. Download the Shazam App on your iPhone or Android to receive your Coca-Cola Share a Song.
I loved the Coca-Cola™ bottle that said “At Last”. It goes so well for a graduation gift. You can hang the tassel right on the bottle and gift with a card to the graduate in your family.
I cannot believe my daughter is graduating in just one short month. I put this frame together with a special memory from her childhood. The lyric “cause I’ve had the time of my life” stood for this moment.
Which song lyric are you going to search for?
