This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Purex. All opinions are 100% mine.
I was recently given the opportunity to try out a package of Purex 3-in-1 Laundry Sheet. I had never heard of them before and I was very eager to see how they would work. I loved them! There were several selling points for me. My top two would have to be the built in fabric softener and anti-static. My washing machine does not have one of those built in fabric softener dispensers therefore, I will be honest, I always forget to use fabric softener. I never have time to pay attention to each load of laundry, waiting for the second cycle to manually add the fabric softener. I just dump laundry detergent and go. Usually I’m doing laundry while cleaning house and working non-stop. Lately our dryer sheets have not been doing the trick of preventing static. It has been so bad around our house that we have even seen sparks from static in clothes and blankets. I’m not even kidding, the dog shocked himself from a blanket he climbed on after it came right out of the dryer last week.
I love how simple the sheets are. You just drop one in at the beginning of the wash and transfer it over with the clothes to the dryer. No mess, no liquid spills and no measuring. T has been helping me with laundry now and this is so simple for her to just grab a sheet and wash. She doesn’t have to try and remember to add fresh dryer sheets when switching the laundry over either since the sheet is already in the load.
I highly recommend everyone sign up for a free sample and try them yourself. There is also a coupon for $1 off on the website if you love them after your sample.

Fun free craft to do with your kids for Valentine’s Day.
Do your children come home with tons of Valentine cards from school? Do you watch them get wasted by being thrown out the next day? Here is an easy craft to do with your kids that is fun, creative and a great way to turn those Valentine cards into cute wall decor or scrapbook page.
In order to create this craft to share with you before my children bring home their Valentine’s Day party cards, I bought a $2 box of cards from Walmart and let Noah help me. This gave him a chance to participate in the fun craft even though he isn’t school age yet.

Supplies Needed:
- Small poster board, sheet of construction paper or regular printer paper
- Elmers glue, a glue stick or even tape will work
- Children’s Valentine cards brought home from school
- any scrapbook accents or stickers (not necessary)
{Noah was so proud of his creation}
After I finished the heart shown at the top of this post I then added scrapbook letters to make the word Valentine. You can easily do this to add your child’s name or year for a scrapbook page. These make great keepsakes or just wall art for a few days. An easy craft to turn cards into something fun for the family to do and nice to view before throwing out.

I am a huge One Tree Hill fan. I have been ever since the show started. I used to always watch it weekly while it was being aired and then after each season came out on DVD I bought it. Now life has changed some and I seem to be busy a lot so I usually TiVo the show and watch it later that night or the next day. With kids settling down and climbing in bed around the time shows come on TV that I enjoy, it makes it hard to watch peacefully.
This year I have started watching House. It started with me watching re-runs on TV. My daughter and I both love the series and we have rented several DVDs from Blockbuster to try and catch up. Unfortunately House airs the exact same time and day that One Tree Hill airs. So when I am recording One Tree Hill via TiVo I can’t change the channel and usually I am busy doing other things around the house so I am unable to watch House on another television. This week I was informed about Fancast from One 2 One Network. I have been dying to see some of the Modern Family series and originally went to Fancast’s website to watch one of those episodes. That’s when I saw House on the main page listed as one of the popular Fall seasons being watched on their website.
After T and I had been cleaning all day we decided to take a break to watch TV. I called her in my room to watch House on our HP TouchSmart. We were able to sit comfortably on my bed and see the computer. It was perfect, just like watching television without all the commercials. Fancast allows you to see the shows you love with limited advertisement. I won’t say there wasn’t commercials but I will say there was only one at a time that literally lasted seconds. I wasn’t even able to get up to get a drink. The quick break didn’t bother me at all, especially since the site is free. I loved the site and can’t wait to use it more. Knowing that I can watch the shows I love at my fingers tips any time I want is nice. Now I feel like we can catch up on House without spending money at Blockbuster. We also don’t have to stay a full season behind.
I can’t wait to get some extra time to watch some Modern Family episodes, we spent too much time watching the past three House episodes today. It’s addicting to say the least. I will have to change the settings on my computer though because we had to keep moving the mouse when the screen went black. I must have it set to go to sleep quickly.
Full Disclosure: I was not paid to write this post. I was told about Fancast by One 2 One Network and after researching the site myself I enjoyed it enough to share with my readers.

Now that we have started back to school that means we go back to having after school snacks. During the summer I will admit I wasn’t organized at all with the eating schedule at my home. Half the time we were on the go or staying up late so the time schedule for meals and snacks was way off. Now that school is back in, it’s like clockwork. They come home hungry!
Thanks to MyBlogSpark we were able to try out a new snack. Also with this new snack we created a frozen treat in a way I would have never thought of. I highly recommend joining MyBlogSpark for the great samples and wonderful information you learn.
Yoplait has always been on my shopping list for their yogurt but yesterday we got to try out their new Yoplait Whips. It was really cool because the day before T and I put the Yoplait Whips into the popsicle trays and created a frozen treat. We left them in over night and by the time they got home from school it was perfect. Noah had wanted one all day but he waited on Sissy.

The frozen Whips were better than ice cream and they didn’t start melting down your arm like most popsicles do in Texas August heat. We tried the Key Lime Pie and Strawberry flavors and loved them. Of course we had to sample each others. The kids thought it was the neatest snack around, had fun making it and I was happy of course because it’s healthy. They are also just as great right out of the package using a spoon, you don’t have to freeze them.
Thanks to MyBlogSpark I get to give one of my readers a ‘Summer Cool Down’ gift basket that includes two free coupons for Yoplait Whips, cooler tote, popsicle molds and a set of 12 color-changing spoons.

In October I am scheduled to attend two conferences. The first being IzeaFest in Orlando and the second being SITScation in Vegas. If you plan to attend either of these conferences and have an iPhone, you should find me and let’s bump!
Okay now… get your head out of the gutter!
When I went to visit my friend Alyssaa few weeks back to swim she told me about this cool new app she had just downloaded. Matter of fact she hadn’t even tried it out yet. I love my iPhone and don’t even try to hide that. I think it is the coolest gadget around! So tell me about a new app, especially one that is so cool like Bump and I’ll give it a try. I downloaded Bump right away and later that evening tried it out with one of my friends. This app is so neat, you literally hold your phone in your hand and just ‘bump’ hands with the other person. You don’t even have to touch phones. It then places your assigned info on their phone and their assigned info on yours. Therefore we were able to switch business card info including a photo we decided upon. I picked one of my best head shots taken via iPhone and [click to continue…]
Not long ago I wrote a post about planning a Sweet 16 Birthday Bash. After that post Christian Walker from Pink Poodle Boutique wrote me and introduced me to personalized confetti. I must say this is the coolest stuff ever.
When decorating for a party, no matter the occasion this confetti looks amazing around your tables. You can pick the colors, shapes, photos and sayings. It was so fun shopping online and deciding just what type of confetti went perfect with her theme. My daughter’s can’t wait until their birthday parties to have their very own confetti customized.
Plus my kids have keepsake boxes that they always put their birthday cards or items that mean the most to them in. This confetti will line the bottom of their boxes for sure. When I took T on a Disney Cruise for her 6th birthday they dropped Disney confetti on us one night, it was great. She still has that Mickey Mouse shaped confetti to this day, she’s now 12. Can you imagine her enthusiasm when the confetti arrives with her name and photo on it?

Christian was also kind enough to send me a nice stack of $5 off coupons. I have some left over and would love to share with my readers. Are you planning a party? Wouldn’t you love to show off some personalized confetti to set your decor to the max? Email me at djane (at) mommadjane (dot) com for your coupon. The $5 off coupon is valid on any order at the Pink-Poodle-Boutique with a total of $25 or more. To claim a coupon you can also leave a comment here with a way to contact you.
