Last week the kids and I were given the opportunity to stay at the Omni Hotel in Dallas. The Omni Hotel of Dallas is located right in the heart of downtown. The view from our room was absolutely stunning and the kids were excited about our stay the moment we pulled up to the hotel covered in bright lights. Once we were greeted at check-in the kids received their Camp Omni backpacks with goodies inside. They instantly were eager to start their scavenger hunt through the hotel.
Our room was on the 22nd floor with one whole wall a window over looking downtown and all the other extremely tall sky scrappers. The bright lights at night were beautiful and Noah convinced me to sleep with the curtains open so he could watch outside. When arriving into our room there was a nice welcome basket with treats and bottled water waiting for the kids and I. This was perfect since it was right at snack time for the kids.
We instantly turned on the TV and found some cartoons to relax and watch. Then T enjoyed relaxing in the big bath tub while watching TV on the bathroom mirror. Yes, there’s really a TV built into the mirror so you can relax in the tub.
The next morning we had breakfast down at the restaurant called Texas Spice. They had a full buffet style breakfast with an omelet station to order your eggs any way you would like. The Camp Omni package included free breakfast for the kids and while we were at the restaurant they found one of the answers to the scavenger hunt. After eating we took some time to wander the hotel and check out all the amenities.
Once they completed the scavenger hunt the kids received dirt pudding with gummy worms to the hotel room. This was right after lunch and they were excited. The dirt pudding also came with Camp Omni fabric stickers.
Unfortunately we weren’t able to swim at the pool since Gabby just had surgery the day before our stay. We were all pretty bummed about that since the pool at the Omni Hotel in Dallas was so nice. Instead we enjoyed room service for dinner and relaxed in the hotel room some more. The kids had a really great time taking part in Camp Omni and the staff treated us extremely well. They were all very friendly and eager to assist with all our needs.
It stormed the following morning and the view from our window was pretty neat. You could see some of the clouds were lower than the sky rise buildings. The storm cleared up fairly quickly but lasted long enough for the kids to get a good view from the 22nd floor.
