Come Bump Me

In October I am scheduled to attend two conferences. The first being IzeaFest in Orlando and the second being SITScation in Vegas. If you plan to attend either of these conferences and have an iPhone, you should find me and let’s bump!

Okay now… get your head out of the gutter!

When I went to visit my friend Alyssaa few weeks back to swim she told me about this cool new app she had just downloaded. Matter of fact she hadn’t even tried it out yet. I love my iPhone and don’t even try to hide that. I think it is the coolest gadget around! So tell me about a new app, especially one that is so cool like Bump and I’ll give it a try. I downloaded Bump right away and later that evening tried it out with one of my friends. This app is so neat, you literally hold your phone in your hand and just ‘bump’ hands with the other person. You don’t even have to touch phones. It then places your assigned info on their phone and their assigned info on yours. Therefore we were able to switch business card info including a photo we decided upon. I picked one of my best head shots taken via iPhone and now whenever I call my friend, that lovely photo pops up. How awesome is that?! Of course now in their contact list they have my name, photo, email addy and favorites links including twitter and blog. You have the option to decide which info you want to share and you don’t have to share everything with each person you bump. So if you meet a contact at a conference that you aren’t super close to and don’t want to give them all details than just share some. It is so simple to just select and bump within seconds!

I will admit, I can be easily amused. But this is one iPhone app that I felt the need to share.

Although if you don’t have an iPhone but are attending the conferences… That’s okay too, got a Poken? I can connect that way also, thanks to BenSpark!
