Wouldn’t it be nice if God just sent us a letter every week telling us what His plans for us are? I often struggle with what God’s plans are for my life. However, when I dig into the word, I am often encouraged by what I find there. God doesn’t ask us to do anything in life alone. He’s always walking right beside us!
These next ten verses are what I find most helpful when I’m seeking God’s will for my life. Sometimes God’s plan doesn’t make sense to us at the moment but does eventually.
Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. ~ Romans 12:2
If anyone’s will is to do God’s will, he will know whether the teaching is from God or whether I am speaking on my own authority. ~ John 7:17
For you know what instructions we gave you through the Lord Jesus. For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you abstain from sexual immorality; that each one of you know how to control his own body in holiness and honor. ~ 1 Thessalonians 4:2-4
Therefore let those who suffer according to God’s will entrust their souls to a faithful Creator while doing good. ~ 1 Peter 4;19
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. ~ Jeremiah 29:11
I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you and watch over you. ~ Psalms 32:8
This is what the Lord say, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: “I am the Lord your God, who teaches you what is best for you, who directs you in the way you should go. ~ Isaiah 48:17
It is God who is at work in you, both to will and to work for His good pleasure. ~ Philippians 2:13
For this God is our God for ever and ever: he will be our guide even unto death. ~ Psalms 48:14
Call to Me and I will answer you, and I will tell you great and mighty things, which you do not know. ~ Jeremiah 33:3
